The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works. Psalm 145:9.

God is all that is good– the word of the Lord attests to His goodness: “And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is, God.” (Mark 10:8.) My friends, God’s goodness, enduring love, and faithfulness never end. He is the all-sufficient One…and He is  GOOD ALL THE TIME!

CeCe Winans beautifully blesses my soul as she sings about the Goodness of God. She testifies that God has been good to her all her life and that she will praise Him with every breath. Truly, hasn’t He been faithful and good to us all? I, too, must testify to the goodness of God, as the Psalmist writes: “I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.” Psalm 27:13.

God’s goodness and amazing grace sustain us all. He is faithful and true to His beloved children. Therefore, with every breath, we should speak of His goodness and mercy. We each have gifts that reveal His glory; so, let us strive to be bright, shining lights that testify to just how good God is! “The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works.” Psalm 145:9.

David truly understood the goodness of God. Listen to how confident he is in God’s kindness: “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: “ Psalm 23:6. Notice that he did not say God’s goodness and mercy would follow him only on some days, but all the days of his life!

God’s promise to be with us always holds faithful and true. When Jesus is the captain of our souls, we can testify to His unfailing goodness and mercy. Yes, we will face challenges in this life- and the way may seem mighty dark sometimes, but He is the Alpha and Omega- the One who makes a way out of no way, the One who has all power.…our deliverer, the Great I AM!

When I look back over my life …I cannot help but testify to the goodness of God “Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!” Psalm 31:19. 

So, this very moment, and always, be a witness-tell it, write it, sing it, shout it. Through any means possible, share that God is GOOD! “O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.” Psalm 34:8.

Remember today: God is good. Rest in His amazing grace and love!
