You Can Do It!

You Can Do It!

There are many justifiable and valid reasons that can prohibit us for completing certain task. Some are physical, mental, spiritual, and even financial, dependent on the circumstances. And wouldn’t you know it, it does not help things that the adversary of our souls, that formidable foe Satan and his demonic forces, are sending defeatist messages to us any way possible that the task or challenge is impossible! But Philippians 4:13 sheds the light of hope and assurance in the heart of every born-again believer “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philippians 4:13.”

Let’s face it, no matter what category you fall in, rich, poor, sick, well, young or old we all must seek the assistance of someone to come to our aide; our first recourse should always be to run to the foot of the cross, seeking God’s guidance and strength to complete the challenge or get the help that is needed; having faith in His power to provide all that we need to run this Christian race day by day. David writes in Psalm 121:1-2 “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.”

Whatever God has purposed for us to do…He will provide the strength, courage, and resources to do it. Unfortunately, there are those who allow pride to cloud their spiritual insight, listening to the naysayers, and outright refusing to accept whatever way God sends to get the job done. My friends, Satan is the culprit behind this defeatist attitude; he knows that this will hinder our progress in being the best of what God has called us to be in the upbuilding of His Kingdom “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall” Proverbs 16:17.

Stay on guard, seeking to please God rather than self or man; and when it comes to those things that present a serious challenge; my parents always taught me, whatever you can do for yourself, do it; and all the rest, turn it over to the Lord, trusting in Him to provide all the strength and direction that you need. “Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.” Proverbs 16:3.

So, maybe God has purposed for you to climb Mount Everest, write the next best seller, preach like the apostle Paul, or provide great compassion or kindness to the downtrodden and hungry souls of this lost world, whatever your calling, know without any shadow of doubt there are no limitations in God and in His power, you can do it!

Let us fall to our knees this day; asking for the empowerment of the Holy Ghost…for truly we can do all things through Christ that strengthen us!

Blessings and God’s amazing grace to all,
