A Message of Hope!

“This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.” 1 John 1:5-7.

There are times when I literally have to reframe from the news media, especially when hearing stories of mere teens killing one another or commiting sucide, it is quite heart wrenching. Unfortunately, the powers that govern our land allows firearms to be easily accessible to the vast majority. As a result, irresponsible youth and mentally challenged individuals are murdering themselves and others in alarming numbers, and the decision makers still chose to error on the side of political and economic correctness oppose to the sanctity of life.

To some this appears quite hopeless and disheartening at times; but every born-again believer knows that God alone provides hope, peace, healing, and the unspeakable joy that we need to walk this tedious journey of life. The answer is focusing on God, knowing that He is much greater than our struggles. His sweet peace is the answer that eases aniexty, fear, and worry regardless to what we see and hear. My friends, in times that try our very souls, remember that our hope is built on nothing and no one but Jesus Christ our Lord! “And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee.” Psalm 39:7.

Even though evil seems to dominate this world, the same Lord God Almighty that formed it, is in direct control. Psalm 24:1 state: “The earth is the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.” The old arch-enemy of our souls desires for us to feel hopeless, having no choice but to succomb to a defeatist attitude about life. The good news is that we are more than conquerors through Jesus Christ, the light that dispels the darkness of this world. “This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.” 1 John 1:5-7.

The prophet Asaph in the 73^rd Psalm was facing similar feelings of despondency about evil seeming to prevail, until he came to himself and stated: “When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me; Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.” Psalm 73:16-17.

A wonderful change came over Asaph’s heart when he went into the sanctuary of God-not the literal temple in Jerusalem, but the heavenly one that he entered by faith! My friends let us enter into that same heavenly sanctuary today by faith. We can run to the foot of the cross. “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” 1 Peter 15:7.

It is our job as children of God, to stay fervent in prayer, wholeheartedly committed to spreading the gospel message of hope to all men. God’s love, compassion and grace are more than able to heal the current ills of this world. We must trust in His infinite wisdom and mercy. He will continue to guide, protect, and keep us forever.

So, as we take advantage of this beautiful day that God has so graciously given; let us remember to speak words of healing, peace and love; sending out a message of hope to all that we interact with along our way- you have no idea who you may hep save today!
