My Hallelujah Belongs to You!
“And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God.” Revelation 19:1.
All glory and honor belong to the Lord God Almighty, now and forever! In the Book of Revelation, chapter 19, a scene opens in Heaven; the sound is the exultations of unspeakable joy, rising in praise and glory to our Christ, for He is omnipotent! “And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God.” Revelation 19:1. Why, because He deserves it!
Alleluia comes from Hebrew and Hallelujah from Greek; and they both mean “praise ye the Lord.” It is the highest praise given to God and the same in every nation and tongue. Psalm 150:6 admonishes us to “Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.” All creation must burst forth in praise, celebrating and proclaiming His goodness…hallelujah, to the Lord God Almighty, He is omnipotent!
There is a well-known gospel song called “You Deserve It!” It encourages us to lift our hands and give God all the glory. The song says, “My hallelujah belongs to you, O Lord. You deserve it!” We serve the Great I AM- the One true and living God. He is the lover and keeper of our souls. The One who came down to earth, was crucified, and got up early on the third day morning-for your sins and mine; that we may have eternal life- no one deserves the praise, glory, and honor like Him!
People often say that when praise goes up, blessings come down. No matter what we’re facing in our lives right now, when we stop and start praising God, He lifts our hearts from earth to heaven in the Spirit, and we experience His unspeakable joy, knowing that everything is alright!
Let us shout, Alleluia; because our hope, peace, and salvation lie in Christ’s redemptive work! And yet, it is only the beginning of a world without end-eternal peace–where we will ever be with the Lord! “And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.” Revelation 19:6.
Praise God, our Hallelujah belongs to God; He deserves it!
Hallelujah and Amen
