A Day of Thanksgiving

A Day of Thanksgiving

“Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.” Psalm 150:6.

“Everyday is a day of thanksgiving…God’s been so good to me, every day He’s blessing me!” The line from an old familiar hymn. My heart and mind overflows with thanksgiving and praise, just to think of how Great God is! Regardless to what is going on in our lives we can give God thanks every single day for the way He makes a way out of no way and provides for all that we need. He is unfailing to His children.

Where are your thoughts today-are your thanking Him for the innumerable blessings that He gives so freely, or caught up in the cares of this world that can so easily cloud our vision from seeing just how good God is? Psalm 150:6 state “Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.”

Even when things seem to go awry…we are reminded that God orders the steps of His beloved children, guiding and placing us just where we need to be… safe in His divine will. “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.” Psalms 37:23. We say it so often, and yet do we believe in our hearts that the safest place to be is right in the center of God’s will…because He knows what is best for us!

Every time I think on something to give God praise and thanks for, another reminder of His blessings that are too innumerable to count come to mind…and so the praise and honor comes forth from my heart unceasingly.

Each of our lives have our stories of ups and downs…but God has been mighty good to every last one of us, and yes, everything that has breath should be praising the Lord…and all of His beloved children have a story of thanksgiving to tell …about a risen Savior who died one Friday afternoon at the ninth hour on an old rugged cross, and rose on the third day morning to give us everlasting life!

Jesus is the best thing that ever happened to me; and I am so glad about it this morning; what about you? Let us give praise, lift up our hands and voices to the Great I AM…giving Him all the glory, just for Who He Is!

God blessings of peace and unconditional love to us all!
