Lord, Do It For Me!
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Psalms 46:1.
In the secret place of your heart, a single tear rolls down the side of your cheek as you whisper, “Lord, do it,” and the Spirit softly whispers back. . . “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”1 John 5:14-15.
Difficult and even heart-crushing circumstances can appear out of nowhere at any given moment. Yet, we have the sweet peace in knowing that when we fall before the mercy seat of God…He will come to our aid and wipe away every single tear, ushering in peace that surpasseth all understanding. “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28.
Even when the storms of life are raging, and the billows roll, I can depend on Him to hide me safely in His arms. The Great Shepherd of the sheep—the One who comforts, provides, protects, heals, guides, and succors all His beloved children- will faithfully do it! “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Psalms 46:1.
Is a storm looming in your life today? Do you need something from the Lord? Then, run to the foot of the cross, my friend; Jesus will provide all that you need. There is no safer place to be than in the arms of our Almighty God. Rest, knowing that whatever you need is already done. “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” Luke 1:37.
Ask the Lord to do it. He is a way-maker, a doctor in your sick room, and a heart regulator when your load feels too heavy. He hears the cries of all His children! I am a living witness that God never fails!
If He can go to the graveyard and tell a dead man to get up, take two fish and five loaves of bread to feed over five thousand, and—best of all—one evening at the ninth hour, hung on Calvary’s cross and died for your sins and mine, and then got up early on the third day morning with all power in His hands, then yes, in the darkest of hours, He can do it for you!
May God’s amazing grace, peace, and safety keep us all.
My soul says Yes, Lord. Have Your way in my life. I love, trust and cling to You. 🙌🏽🫶🏽🙏🏽
