“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” Jeremiah 33:3.

It’s late in the midnight hour… a circumstance arises beyond your control; and your first response is to call on the Lord! Why, because He is the source of all our help, comfort. Joy, and peace. Jeremiah 33:3 admonishes us “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”

God is faithful to answer our prayers when we come to Him humble, yielded, and waiting on His will to be done. That is not an easy feat…our prayers are not always aligned with the will of God-but we must come to His throne of grace, recognizing that He is sovereign, and trusting in His unfailing love to keep us in perfect peace of heart, mind, and soul regardless to how hard wrenching the circumstances may be; especially in spite of what the enemy tries to place in our paths…our faith has to stand on the promises and faithfulness of God!  “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.” John 5:14-15.

Hearing the Holy Spirit speak to our hearts is dependent on our willingness to be still and listen…are we truly wanting God to answer according to His will or ours; the unknown is uncomfortable…but when we know that God knows what is best, loves us, and is working out every circumstance for our good, we can submit to His will. (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 2 Corinthians 5:7.

There is a familiar gospel hymn entitled “Let the Church say Amen” the singer states if you believe His word…when He has spoken, our response must be amen. There is absolutely nothing more comforting than hearing a word from the Lord, just when you need it the most; He will come through and give you sweet peace as promised in the scriptures “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7.

The bible tells us that as the beloved children of God, we hear His voice… and we follow where He leads. “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:” John 10:27. So, when He answers- whatever your plea-at this very moment say amen, because God has spoken, and it is well!

Make this your response… amen

To whatever He says… amen

From the healing of your body… amen

To the raising of the dead… amen

No matter how you feeling… amen

Or how your world is reeling… amen

Battle on through the night… amen

Cause you’re going to win the fight… amen
