Anchored in Hope

Anchored in Hope

“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.” Romans 15:13.
Hope is defined as a sincere and heartfelt expectation of something we desire to happen; it is more than a mere wish because it must be grounded in a belief of something far greater than ourselves. The hope of the born-again believer is placed in our Almighty God. “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1.
My friends hope that is anchored or clings to the faithfulness of God, is sure; it is based on His unfailing character. “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” Numbers 19:23. Every day that we breathe is lovingly orchestrated by our Almighty God.
Remaining steadfast in hope gives us the will power to push on when all else seems impossible to endure and provides for us peace that is totally beyond our comprehension- it is the joy the runs deep down in our souls, succoring us up way above the hurts, sorrows and ill treatment that happens as we walk this journey of life!
It lifts, encourages, and energizes us in the power of the Holy Ghost; and when we release our cares and concerns over to God, He fills us with the wisdom to walk in faith. “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.” Romans 15:13.
Finally, it is all about God living in us . . . He is the light at the end of the tunnel, and no matter what is transpiring in our lives today, we can trust the unknown future with our omniscient Heavenly Father. Our anchor holds and grips the solid rock- He is our hope for every tomorrow!
“And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee.” Psalm 39:7.
God blessings of peace, faith, and hope-once you choose hope, anything is possible!
