God Has Not Abandoned You!

God Has Not Abandoned You!

and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:20b.

“No matter what storm you face, you need to know that God loves you. He has not abandoned you.” -Franklin Graham. Life can usher us some devastating blows, those times when it appears as though we can no longer hold on…but I like this quote written by Mr. Graham; it takes us straight to the source of our strength . . . regardless to what is happening or ever will happen, we can rest in the promises of God’s unfailing love and presence forever!

The account of two men traveling on the road to Emmaus in Luke chapter twenty-four, gives evident to the presence and power of God to lift, sustain, and empower us in the darkest of hours.  The two disciples were despondent and sad; they walked recounting the events of the past few days, how Jesus was crucified, buried, and missing from the grave; even reported to have been seen by some of the women. Their countenance was saddened, then Jesus joins the walk, unbeknown to them. “And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?” Luke 24:17 . God is never late my friends, but always right on time!

As the men continued to walk along the way, He began to enlighten their eyes, and finally as they invited Him in to stay and He broke the bread of life with them, just when they thought all hope was gone, they were blessed beyond measure . . . “And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them. And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?” Luke 24:30-32.

We can rest in the assurance that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever more! He will meet us just where we are in those times of sadness or uncertainty; He has promised to never leave us alone! Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Isaiah 41:10.

So, today-if you are feeling unsure, despondent or even shaken to your very core, know that you are not abandon…every single promise of God is yea and amen– meaning if He said it, it will come to pass. Cling to His everlasting arms and never let go of His words of assurance… and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:20b.

God’s abundant blessings of peace and comfort be with you all!
