He has Begun a Good Work in You!

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” Philippians 1:6.

Life can throw some serious punches. . .don’t you to agree? Young and at the very tender age of fourteen, I gave God my heart-and by age nineteen the road became mighty tough-have you ever felt totally isolated from everything and everyone that you knew- but God stoops down and picks you up from the very depths of what you imagine is hell…and the Holy Spirit sweetly reminds you that you are His beloved child, and the enemy doesn’t win- God wins! Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” Philippians 1:6.

Someone said hindsight is twenty, twenty- as a young teen, I had no way of knowing what I know now at age sixty-five, how God sustains, keeps, heals, blesses, and continues year after year to use me for His glory and what I now know by faith and experience is that the half has not yet been told! “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.” Psalm 37:23.

My friends, regardless to what the world has said or ever will say about you- know this, that God’s peace, grace and mercy is working and producing in you a work that goes far beyond what you can possibly see at this present moment. . . “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9.

When you belong to God- not even the devil in hell can thwart God’s plan for your life! Just be still and listen to His voice as he speaks, guides, and comforts your heart with His faithful promises- “And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth.” Malachi 3:17.

Trials and tribulations are a part of this life…never lose sight that the arch enemy of our souls is vehemently on his job to destroy every child of God, but we are safe, safe I say, in the Master’s hands! “My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.” John 10:29.

So, whether you are fourteen or a hundred…praise God that He has begun a good work in you since before the foundations of the world… and one day, He has promised to bring it to completion-  we are in His holy plan!  According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:” Ephesians 1:4.

God sees the best in us- rest in His blessings, peace, and amazing grace to keep us all!
