Holy Forever!

Holy Forever!

“And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.” Isaiah 6:3.”

I wake in the stillness of the morning, breathe in, and whisper praise to God for a new day and for His protection over all my loved ones and me through the night. In that very moment, nothing else matters except the Great I AM, the Lord God Almighty, that Great Shepherd of the sheep, the King of kings, and His goodness, because He’s Holy forever!

Cece Winans sings a beautiful song called “Holy Forever.” In it, she gives God praise, honor, and glory with these words: “The angels cry Holy; all creation cries Holy; You are lifted high, Holy, Holy Forever; hear Your people sing, Holy to the King of Kings-Holy; You will always be Holy, Holy Forever. Your name is the highest; Your name is greatest, Your name stands above them all, JESUS- Holy forever!” Praise God on high; Jesus will always be Holy forever! “And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.” Isaiah 6:3.

One theologian attempts to describe God as “wholly other.”  This term describes the difference between God and everything else. God is completely different from all other things that exist because He is self-existent and the Creator of all. “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” Genesis 1:1.

Scripture puts everything in perspective. The real question is how will you respond to the Lord? “To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One. Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth.” If you are a beloved child of God, then you can shout-He is God all by Himself…Elohim, He is supreme, Creator God, Holy forever!

Knowing whose we are humbles the soul, bringing obedience, honor, and glory to Him forever. “But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand” Isaiah 69:4.

My friends, the Lord God Almighty deserves reverence, honor, and praise from all creation. So, above all things, let us praise Him right now, in the midst of whatever we’re facing, and wherever we are, for He is Holy Forever. “Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.”

May God’s blessings of love and peace be with us all.
