The Necessity of Divine Blessings

The Necessity of Divine Blessings

“Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.” Psalm 127:1

My son Reginald and my daughter-in-law Kimberly started building a new home recently. When the structure went up, they decided to take the kids out and write scriptures on the first stones of the inside walls. This was a faithful act of acknowledging God for His blessings, seeking His protection on the new home and above all knowing that His presence is with them always. I praise God for their faithful love and dependance on Him in all their endeavors in life. Psalm 127:1 state “Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.” Psalm 127:1.

It does not matter what we set out to accomplish, if we do not acknowledge and begin with God it is fruitless. God by His divine providence orchestrates all things. Our very lives are in His hands, whether we sleep our wake it is by the goodness and grace of God. Therefore, in all that we attempt to accomplish we must depend upon His blessing. If we fail to acknowledge Him, we have no reason to expect His blessing; and as we all know the best-laid plans fail, unless He gives the success. “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33.

Our Creator God is Alpha and Omega, in and through Him all things exist and have being, I put it like this . . .  who I am God made me, what I have God gave me, what I know God taught me and praise God where I have been God’s amazing grace has brought me! Isaiah 66:2 state “For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the Lord: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.”

My friends, whatever we endeavor to set our hearts at doing, let us put God first. When we seek and follow God’s will in all that we do, success in imminent.  Remember, it is what God defines as success, not our will but His…He will orchestrate everything according to His divine counsel for our good! “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.” 1 John 5:14-15.

Praise God for His divine blessings and peace be with you all!
