Trusting God
God never said life would be easy. But if we believe in Him, we must also trust in Him. If we waver in His trustworthiness, we must ask ourselves- What am I not trusting God with today? That is where our doubt and obedience break down. “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)” Hebrews 10:23.
The truth is, we either trust God or we don’t. That is often easier said than done. But the key to aligning with God’s will is to stand on the fact that He is faithful and trustworthy.
Thoughts like, will this ever happen, will God really do this, will He bring me out of such a catastrophic circumstance, will He make a way out of no way? The answer is to trust God’s plan, even when we don’t understand or can’t see the way forward. “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6.
The word of the Lord gives us this sweet assurance that He will keep every promise! “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.’ 2 Corinthians 1:20. God is faithful!, who has promised my friends, we can rely on God!
So, do you trust these words from the Lord? “But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26. We serve the One true and living God, and nothing is impossible for Him, the Great I AM!
Job put it this way: “I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee.” Job 42:2. God knows all about our troubles, and He is working behind the scenes right now to do more than we can imagine. No matter how hard your journey is, you can rest in His promise: “and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:20.
Yes, we can trust God, our Savior, to carry us through anything. Let’s give our hearts fully to Him, trusting Him above all else. He is faithful and will do what He has promised. “Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.” 1 Thessalonians 5:24.
May God’s peace and joy always be with you!
