“For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.” Psalm 91:11.

The words of an old gospel hymn echo deep down in my soul…it goes-if it had not been for the Lord, on my side, where would I be! These words bring peace and comfort and praise to God for His lovingkindness, protection, and tender mercies. Even greater assurance is the promise of His word, to give His angels charge over all that concern His beloved children! “For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.” Psalm 91:11.

We live in a fallen world, my friends. In life we face dangers seen and unseen; undesirable circumstances can easily arise from various sources at any given time… things brought on by evil intent, physical illnesses, spiritual, mental, or financial attacks, or just being in the wrong place at what seems the wrong time.

But, praise be to God, to those of us who have committed ourselves to the Lord, we have this blessed assurance and comfort of heart…He is intentional and has dispatched His angels to watch over us in all our ways… “Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?” Psalms 1:14.

Perhaps you are in a tough spot today; fear grips your heart, and your thoughts are… Lord, please help me through this! My friend, God always hears and answers the call of His beloved children.

Just take a moment and read the account of Daniel in chapter ten. Daniel had been praying and seeking the Lord; Scripture tells us that an angel was dispatched to administer unto Daniel…but was upheld over twenty-one days by the prince of the kingdom of Persia-but the angel receives help from one of the chief princes, named Michael…my friends, God knows, He sees, and He will deliver! 

What God did for Daniel way back then…He will do the same for you! “Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia. Daniel 10:12-13.

So hold on, our Great and Almighty God is the same yesterday, today and forevermore.  He is our Deliverer, and  has stationed His angels to watch over all His beloved children. We are kept safe beneath His wings of love! “He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.” Psalm 91:4.
