Expressions of Love Through Prayer

Expressions of Love Through Prayer

“And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.” 1 John 4:21”

It is impossible to go before the throne of grace in prayer and leave out the concerns and needs of others. If we genuinely love God, then we will love others as well. 1 John 4:21 state “And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.”

Someone wrote “A jewel is a godly friend, nothing is more powerful than a loyal, faithful friend who will pray for you.”  The love of God that lives within us compels, draws, and leads us to intercede for the welfare of others. Just as the apostle Paul prayed for the brethren in Colossae, our desire should be that all others will be drawn to the love of God, receive salvation, be filled with innumerous spiritual blessings, and walk worthy of His calling.

When we fervently pray for others to be covered by God’s love and His protective care… everything else will fall in the perfect will of God; we can rest assured that our prayers are never in vain, God hears and answers the cries of His children. “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” James 5:16.

My friends, let us ask God to help us to remain steadfast in prayer and to love all men. Galatians 6:2 admonishes us “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” It is a privilege and duty to pray, amazing things happen when we pray for others.
