“It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:23.

Can you think of anyone among your family, friends, or even your most trusted colleagues who has never let you down, not even once? None of us are perfect or completely trustworthy in every way. Because of our human nature, we all fall short. King David admitted this when he said, “Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me,” Psalm 51:5. But thank God, we are not without hope, because we are loved with an everlasting love!

My friends, we have a gracious, merciful, and faithful God, whose love is eternal and unfailing. He has promised to always keep, protect, and provide for us! “The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee” Jeremiah 31:3. 

What has God promised you? Where is your hope? I am so thankful that the hope of God’s beloved children is not based on some whimsical wish or childhood chant. But our hope is built on Christ, the solid rock. We stand safe and secure on His firm foundation, by whom we receive the guaranteed promises of God!   “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. ”If God has said it, that settles it!

How great is the faithfulness and mercy of the Lord God Almighty! Whatever He has promised, He will do! The word of the Lord reminds us in Numbers 23:19: “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” 

Faith, hope, and experiences through the trials and tribulations of life have taught us just how faithful our Great and Almighty God is and always will be. So, when we face challenges and circumstances that appear outright impossible, we only need to recall the unfailing goodness of God in our lives, from times past, in the present, and praise God for the future.  That Great Shepherd of the Sheep, our Lord and Savior- Jesus Christ, will never fail! 

God has given us the greatest love letter ever written- the Bible! Within the pages of sixty-six divinely inspired books is the infallible word of God. It tells us of His unfailing love and promises that He will carry us safely through this life’s journey. Yes, the mountains can often feel as though the climb is impossible, but we can rest in His faithfulness. Habakkuk 3:19 gives these words of comfort: “The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places.”

Let us keep this thought close to our hearts and hold on until our change comes! Even though we can’t see our way through, God is working behind the scenes, and He is always right on time! “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:23.

Always remember, God is faithful and He will take care of you.
