No Weapon Formed Shall Prosper
“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.”
A truth that reigns in the heart when things get rough on this journey of life reminds us that: Where the human spirit fails, the Holy Spirit prevails. The Word of the Lord states it like this: “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.” Isaiah 54:17.
The human spirit represents our own emotional strength, willpower, or physical abilities. In those times when we face impossible circumstances, grief, or extreme suffering…we eventually hit a wall, feeling as though hope is far off.
But, oh my friends, there is always hope in God. “ Why art thou cast down, O my soul: and why art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God!”
The Holy Spirit is God’s active, empowering presence in our lives. He prevails; He triumphs, overcomes, and masters the situation, because we are God’s beloved children. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.” Isaiah 40:29.
Wherever we are in life and no matter what the circumstances dictate, we can fully rely on God! Our part is to release our limited strength over to God’s Limitless power; He can and will deliver us!
So, hold on, though the road you travel may be rough, remember that we walk this journey of life by faith, and not by sight.
Every weapon formed against us by the hand of the enemy lacks the power to destroy us-our mind, body, and soul ultimately are all protected by the everlasting arms of the Almighty! “For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.” Psalm 91:11.
