Our Father

Our Father

“But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.” 1 Corinthians 8:6.

In the beginning God. When was the beginning? We have no earthly idea, except that God is the beginning of all things, He is eternal, and He just is. As born-again believers we know that God created us in His image and gave to us a competent soul. Time, space, nature, and all other things that He has created are under His direct providence.

God has provided a way for us to relate to Him and learn of His nature through the personages of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, He is one God that controls our past (the Son), present (the Father), and future (the Holy Ghost.) “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” Revelation 1:8

God shed His amazing grace on all men through His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, and if we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior we become adopted as His children. “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.”

Jesus taught His disciples to pray in the Lord’s Prayer “After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.” Matthew 6:9. Our Father is the Great I Am…He provides, keeps, and sustains us in this present existence and one day will usher us into eternity with Him forever. Therefore, we pray…give us this day our daily bread; He is the One who supplies all our needs and is the very air that we breathe.

My friends, the good news is that during all that is going on in this world; Our Father, who has divine providence over all things, is orchestrating every circumstance according to His will. Regardless to how it seems, we must hold to His unchanging hands. Psalm 121:6-8 state “The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.”

Let us walk in the sweet peace of knowing that our Father is working all things out for our good; He knows, He cares, and He will keep us safe and secure in His everlasting arms!

Blessings and peace for a wonderful day!
