“For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us,” 2 Corinthians 1:20.

Often, when it seemed my parents were caught between a rock and a hard place and the situation was miraculously resolved, I would hear them exclaim, “If God says yes, who can say no?” I have grown old enough and experienced enough in life to be a witness to the fact that when our Almighty and faithful God says yes, absolutely no one can say no. His promises are faithful and true! “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us,” 2 Corinthians 1:20.

God sent His servant Moses to the King of Egypt to let His people go that they may serve Him. A number of plagues had brought destruction on the Egyptians, with the last plague taking the life of all the first-born males in Egypt…there were no exceptions, and it included Pharaoh’s son as well. It appeared that Pharaoh had come to his senses; he finally let the Israelites go, but, hardened in his heart, he followed after them. He thought for sure that he had them trapped, utterly surrounded by his army and the Red Sea; in his mind’s eye, there was no possible way out. God spoke to Moses, saying, “For Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, They are entangled in the land, the wilderness hath shut them in.” Exodus 14:3.

My friends, nothing is over until God says so. He sent a word of victory to His children: “And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.” Exodus 14:13.

God parted the Red Sea and allowed all of His children to cross safely to the other side. As scripture tells us, Pharaoh’s army followed in hot pursuit, but it was to their demise. My friends, God took the very wheels off the chariots in the midst of the sea, and the Egyptian army was drowned! As it is written: “And it came to pass, that in the morning watch the Lord looked unto the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the host of the Egyptians, And took off their chariot wheels, that they drave them heavily: so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the Lord fighteth for them against the Egyptians.” Exodus 14:24-25.

Just as God delivered the Israelites, He remains faithful to His promises to provide, protect, and deliver His beloved children today. If your back is up against the wall and you can’t see a way out, and if the enemy is trying to plant seeds of doubt in your heart, fear not. Instead, look unto Jesus—He is working in the midst of your situation. When He says yes, absolutely no one can say no! “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.’ Isaiah 41:10.
